The Legend of Zelda: Fan Fiction Reviews

This particular story is well written and takes a nice spin on the original characters story line.
In the game "Ocarina of Time" you are introduced to Sheik, he is apparently one of the last remaining members of his people, the Sheikah and he helps you ('Link') on your quest.
*SPOILER if you haven't played the game*
In the game though it turns out that Sheik is in fact the Princess Zelda in disguise.

In this particular alternate Hyrule Sheik has been portrayed as the male he claimed to be in the game.
Living a lonely life as an out cast and drifter he comes across a wolf who has familiar blue eyes.
Now I loved this cross over because as you may not know in another Zleda game, "Twilight Princess" Link is transformed in to a wolf and he is recognised only by his blue eyes and strange markings.
They fast become companions, enjoying each others company and are then forced to be battle partners when they are suddenly attacked by a common enemy.

Then there is an all mighty twist ending that would shock any "The Legend of Zelda" fan!!!

I found this story interesting to read and it held my attention to the point I was skim reading ahead to find out what happens.
I love the development of the Sheik charater and the involvement of Link.
All and all I really enjoyed it and I would like to read more from this author.

This story is based on the Zelda game "Majora's Mask" which is one of the best out of the whole franchise.
This take on it focuses on the more intimate details of Link's thought process which you are normally not privy to during game play.
The use of Tatl is wonderful as I personally found her to be an annoying brat and the author has definitely portayed her as such.
It is still set in the original setting and uses the original characters as they are but I found the internal dialogue enlightening.

The whole story could becoming boring as I already know how the story goes but from what I can tell the author is planning on laying out the time line in a more linear style rather than the jumping back and forth through time like you experience in the game.

Based seven years after the happenings of "Ocarina of Time" this story is a wonderfully written adaptation on what could have been had Link not gone back to being a young boy.
Choosing to stay an adult and becoming the Head Guard to the Royal Family Link is portrayed as a hardened and independent individual, toughen up by his past and wanting to live an easy life.
The dialogue is pretty spot on, exactly how I would imagine the characters to talk and act, even if Link does come across as a jerk sometimes and the creative carrying on from the original game to this twist of fate is very compelling.
A very well written and original storyline.

Told from the point of view of Links trusted horse Epona this is a charming tale of the basic happenings from "Ocarina of Time". Short and simple this isn't much of a stretch for ones imagination, told in a timeline fashion laying out the game play.
But due to it being from a 'minor' characters p.o.v (minor in the sense she is really only used for travel, but I would argue she is one of the best parts of the game) and told in such an innocent and naive sort of way makes this short story worth the time.

I love this idea! Its simple but an affective way to go about writing a Fan Fiction. You take the Seven Deadly Sins and assign them to a character each.
So far the author only has three sins down; Envy, Rage and Gluttony, but they have handed them out accordingly.

Envy goes to Midna for her displeasure towards the 'Light Realm', Rage to Gannondorf of course and Gluttony to Wolf Link (mentioned in my first review).

Each individual story is a small snippet out of the over all story that is contained in this land of Hyrule and offers some insight and/or back story to the characters.

Although short the writing is well done and I am interested in reading the remaining sins and to whom she will allocate them.

Wow!! I finished at one minute to mid-night! haha...
I will admit I found it hard to get in to reading these fan-fics let alone having to write about them, but I hope my reviews live up to standards.

Kiri.
